Lovely. A strong image with nice lines. I might be tempted to crop off some of the cake from the left, as the white is a bit high key for me in comparison with the rest of the scene.
Gail Wiley: Good eye, I went back and croped off some of the left and top and the shot looks much better. Thanks.
Yummm ! Nicely done indeed !
Gail Wiley: Thank you very much.
Beautiful contrasts here.
Gail Wiley: That is what caught my eye. Thanks
I think this is a beautiful, romantic shot. I would be very happy to have this as a memory of my wedding. (:o)
Gail Wiley: Thanks Rosalyn, So glad you like it.
Bearing in mind there is no way I could take a shot as good as this.... the cake loses a bit of detail and becomes a bright white distraction. I would be tempted to crop the top a touch and up the contrast a little on the cake.
Gail Wiley: First of all, yes you could..... Second, Red Pen saw the same thing and you are both right. I tried a tighter crop on the top and the left and it really did the trick. Way to much cake. Thanks for the input.
I love this shot. It's so dreamy and romantic looking.
Gail Wiley: Thanks Tracy. I added a blur layer and brought down the opacity to get that effect.
Makes me think I'm looking through a magazine. Almost dream-like feel. Very nice...
Gail Wiley: Thanks Trudie. Glad you like it.
I like the contrasts, too, as well as the soft lighting. Lovely shot. Can I have a bite??
::smile::
Gail Wiley: Of course. It was quite tasty. Thanks.
Excellent still life !! The cake seems... huummm !!
Ok for a big boost, Gail !
Gail Wiley: Thanks Florence. You are a pal.
What a lovely memory for the wedding couple, Gail. I like the little votive lights!
Gail Wiley: Thanks, Got lucky on the lights, they were just there.....
Very romantic.
Gail Wiley: Thanks you. That is what I was going for.
It's really nice, and I'm sure looks even better with a teeny bit less cake.
Well done to have captured the different shades of white, it's a good picture, one to cherish to remember the day
Gail Wiley: It looks much better with less cake.... Way better. You can thank Red Pen and Bill for that.
Mmmmmm ! I like, but... where is the chocolate?
Gail Wiley: I agree......MORE CHOCOLATE
