For my Friend...
I am losing a dear friend to the drink. He is sick and dieing in the hospital. I tried to save him but I failed. Now he is leaving me and going to a place he can rest.
Please pray for him that his soul finds peace. And that my heart will stop breaking.

Beautiful macro Gail.
Alcohol can destroy so many lives and not just the person who is trapped by the addiction to it. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Gail Wiley: Thank you Aussie. He did live but is very weak and requires constant care. This is going to be a tough year.
Oh, Gale,
I'm so sorry you're going through this. You and your friend will be in my thoughts. Z
Gail Wiley: Thank you. I appreciate your kindness
So nicely done - Thumbs up !!
Gail Wiley: Thank you.
I found this poem on the internet Gail. I hope it helps.
PEACE MY HEART Peace, my heart, let the time for the parting be sweet. Let it not be a death but completeness. Let love melt into memory and pain into songs. Let the flight through the sky end in the folding of the wings over the nest. Let the last touch of your hands be gentle like the flower of the night. Stand still, O Beautiful End, for a moment, and say your last words in silence. I bow to you and hold up my lamp to light you on your way. ~Rabindranath Tagore
Gail Wiley: Bill, you are dear to my heart. Thank you for your kind words. He did live however, he now needs full time care so my battle isn't over yet. All I can do now is to take care of him the best I can.
My heart goes out to you, Gail. This is a beautiful image to honor your friend. May you both find peace at this difficult time.
Gail Wiley: Thank you. I appreciate your kindness.
Don't be sad Gail. Be sure that "Life after life" will be better for him. He has paid highest price to reach it and you don't fail nothing. You stayed at his side holding his hands. What can we hope more that having a friend in our last moments ? ...
I'll pray for you ... yes I do ...
Gail Wiley: France, you are a truley kind person and I appreciate you. Thank you for your support.
I'm so sorry about your friend. I will pray he finds peace. I have been in your shoes ... it's a hard way to lose someone!
Gail Wiley: Thank you Helen, The battle isn't over yet. I have him home now. He lived but is very weak and will require my constant care. I am all he has. Thank you for your support.
That is so so sad!! I am so sorry. It is a beautiful flower to associate with a memory of him. Lovely poem Bill.
Gail Wiley: Thank you Gale, It is sad what some people do to themselves. They don't think about how the people who love them are hurt.
you have not failed Gail, your tribute to him is a sign that you have not, I have been where you are, seen a young girl whom was very dear to my heart go because of cocaine, nothing I could do, I guess our friends here at shutter say it all, You are in my thoughts, and I'll pray, for that is the only thing that we can truly do, may your friend find the peace.
Gail Wiley: Thank you Patrick. I do know that my hands are tied. He lived but now he requires my constant care. Even if he dosn't drink, he only has a few years. I am afraid that once he gets his strength back, he will drink again. I pray he won't but odds are he will.
Ho, I'm sorry I didn't read the text with it :-( I give you a big kiss to help...
Gail Wiley: Thank you for your kiss, I need it.
